Model S/AAR 5.2 START-UP (Tav. 01) · Activate the main electric switch which feeds the machine. (ref.8). · Open the tap mounted at the water inlet to the machine and check that the drain tap is tightly closed (ref. 13). · Activate the boiler switch. (ref. 4): · The pump starts immediately and the warning lamp (ref. 2) comes on to indicate that water is entering the boiler. The pump stops when the level stat which establishes the correct amount of water in the boiler, is activated and at the same time the warning lamp (ref.2) goes off. · The boiler element warning lamp (ref. 3) will come on a few seconds before the water inlet lamp goes off. (ref. 2) · The boiler will reach pressure as indicated on the pressure gauge (ref. 21) and the elements will stay activated until the steam pressure has reached 2.5 bar, or until the pressure switch which ends the heating operation, is activated. · When pressure on the pressure gauge has descended below 1.8 bar, the boiler element will automatically be activated. · After about 7 minutes, switch on the iron switch (ref. 7-11), checking that the thermostat control knob is on the “wool-cotton” position. · Check that the table element thermosat is positioned at around 70/80 °C or at the required temperature.
WARNING : When the machine is first installed, it is necessary to start up the boiler at least twice, allowing it to heat up and then emptying it. This should be done in order to clean the interior of the boiler and eliminate any impurities which may have been deposited during construction. To proceed with the draining of the boiler, act as follows : · As a precaution, disactivate the boiler ( ref. 4) · Only open the drain valve ( ref. 13) when boiler pressure has descended below 1 bar. · To completely empty the boiler, turn on the iron switch ( ref. 7/11) and keep the iron button pressed so that air is let in through the steam hose and allows any water to be expelled. 5.3 CONTROL OF IRON TEMPERATURE The ideal iron temperature of the iron should be carried out by testing the iron on a white cloth. The iron should be kept on the cloth for about one minute. If the cloth goes yellow, turn the thermostat regulation knob in the anti-clockwise direction. The test should be repeated until the cloth stays white. Hold the iron up and push the micro switch repeatedly to check that no water is issued together with the steam. If
this is not the case, wait a few minutes until the iron has sufficiently
heated up. If necessary, raise the temperature by turning the thermostat knob in the clockwise direction. 5.4 STEAM ISSUE REGULATION Steam issue is regulated by us when the machine is tested. Should a different rate of flow be required, using a screwdriver turn the steam positioned on the iron solenoid valve forwards or backwards as required. 5.5 VACUUM
ON ADJUSTABLE ARM Should the machine be equipped with
arm, vacuum action can be obtained on the arm by gently pulling this towards the operator. 5.6 VACUUM
ON THE TABLE To activate vacuum on the table, once
this has been heated up by the elements, press the pedal (ref. 15). 5.7 END
OF DAILY OPERATION At the end of the working day, remember
to do the following : · close the water supply · disconnect the machine by putting the switch on the “O” position. · switch off the irons (ref.7 and ref. 11)
