Model S/AV 5.1 INITIAL
SET-UP OF THE MACHINE The machine is supplied after each
component has been tested
and pre-set and is ready for correct functioning. Before use, the following checks must
be made : ·
that
machine is intact following transport ; ·
that
protection casings are correctly fitted ; ·
positioning
of safety plate ; ·
connection
of electrical feed ; ·
tightening
of clamps on hydraulic systems; ·
tightening
of screws on boiler flange; ·
motor
rotation direction. 5.2 START-UP
(Tav. 01) Activate the main electric switch which
feeds the machine. (ref.
1). Open the 3/8” tap mounted at the water
inlet to the machine and
check that the drain tap is tightly closed
(ref. 18). Activate the boiler switch. (ref. 8).
The pump starts immediately and the
warning lamp (ref. 10) comes on to indicate that water is entering
the boiler. The pump stops when the level stat which establishes
the correct amount of water in the boiler, is activated and at the
same time the warning lamp (ref.10 ) goes off.
The boiler element warning lamp (ref.
9) will come on a few seconds before the water inlet lamp goes off.
(ref. 10) The boiler will reach pressure as indicated on the pressure
gauge (ref. 12) and the elements will stay activated until the steam
pressure has reached 5 bar,
or until the pressure switch which ends the heating operation, is
activated. When working pressure has been reached,
you can start finishing. Open the two pad clamps (ref. 17) and
arrange the garment to be finished on the form finisher, adjust
the width of the shoulders by turning the knob (ref. 16) so as to
adapt the former to the size of garment to be finished. Adjust the height of the former lower
bag so that the elasticated edge which forms the waist is just below
the garment to be finished. If possible button the garment and
fit it to the former by pressing the two pad clamps by means of
the lever (ref. 17) The pressure exercised by the pad clamps
on the garment can be increased or decreased simply by tightening
or loosening the two regulating levers (ref. 17) Insert the two sleeve stretchers supplied
with the machine ( tav. 05 - ref. 40) in the sleeves of the garment
to be finished making sure that the natural crease line is adhered
to. Close the opening at the end of the
sleeves by the clamps supplied (tav. 05 - ref. 41) Set the steaming, steam-air, and air
times, by programming the respective timers (ref 4-5-6). Start the finishing cycle by pressing
the pedal ( ref. 15). First, the steaming phase takes place
and then the steam/air phase which expands the garment follows, and finally the air phase which dries the garment. The quantity of air issued in the former
cn be adjusted by means of the lever ( ref. 14), by rotating the
lever clockwise/anticlockwise, air capacity is diminished/increased. Once the ventilation phase is over,
the garment is finished and can be removed from the machine, which
is immediately ready for further use. The steaming and ventilation
times, just described can also be manually controlled and can last
as long as required. For manual operation, put the selector
( ref. 2) on the manual position and then activate the switches
( ref. 3 and 4) to carry
out steaming and ventilation respectively. 5.3 END
OF DAILY OPERATION At the end of the working day, remember
to do the following : ·
close
the water supply ·
disconnect
the machine by putting the switch on the “O” position.
