Model S/EP4 5.2 START-UP
(Tav. 01¸06) ·
Activate
the main electric switch which feeds the machine. (ref. 1). ·
Open
the tap mounted at the water inlet to the machine (ref. 30) and check that the drain tap is tightly closed
(ref. 22). ·
Activate
the boiler switch. (ref. 8): ·
Wait
about 30 minutes, checking on the pressure gauge (ref. 12) that the boiler reaches the established pressure of 5
bar. When the warning lamp
(ref. 2) goes out, the machine is ready for use..
·
Check
that compressed air is entering the machine at 6 bar on the pressure
gauge. (ref. 13). ·
Activate
the vacuum switch (ref. 5). ·
Before
starting the finishing process, it is recommended that any air which
may be present in the top and bottom bucks be discharged. Then, by means of the steaming controls
(tav. 01 - rif. 1-4), which vary according to the different options
available on the machine, apply
pressure repeatedly and briefly at intervals, until uniform steam
is obtained on both bucks. On the topper press (S/EP3), a tap
has been fitted above the top buck to aid rapid discharge of any
air which may be present on the buck. rubinetto. Should water marks remain visible on
the bucks, it is recommended to wait a few minutes to ensure that
the bucks are perfectly heated and then repeat the operation described
in this paragraph. WARNING When the boiler is installed for the
first time, it should be started-up at least twice, allowing it
to heat up and then emptying it. This must be done in order to clean
the inside of the boiler and eliminate any impurities which may
have been deposited during construction. To drain the boiler : ·
As
a precaution, turn off the boiler by means of the switch ( ref.
8). ·
Open
the drain valve ( ref. 22) only when boiler pressure has descended
to below 1 bar. NOW YOU CAN START
PRESSING ! 5.3 MACHINE WITH TWO PUSH BUTTONS (Tav. 07-
fig. A) ·
The
pressing operation is to be carried out as follows : ·
The
garment to be pressed is positioned on the bottom buck, steam is
issued on the bottom buck by means of the right pedal ( ref. 4) and vacuum is provided on the bottom buck by means of the left pedal.
(ref. 3). ·
The
top buck is lowered by pressing
the two black push buttons (ref. 1-2) simultaneously, using
both hands. While steaming, the top buck will close at high pressure
against the bottom buck. ·
After
activating steam on bottom buck by means of the right pedal (ref. 4),
the top buck is to be opened by means of the right button (ref. 2). ·
Activate
vacuum on bottom buck by means of the left pedal inferiore
(ref. 3) to complete the pressing process. ·
Remove
the pressed garment. 5.4 MACHINE
WITH SAFETY GUARD (Tav.
07- fig. B) Closing of the top buck is controlled
by the right pedal (ref.
1) which serves two functions
: the first being to close the buck and
the second, being to steam on the top buck while the pedal is kept
pressed. The operator has the possibility of
keeping both hands free if the press is equipped with safety guard, ensuring
better positioning of the garment on the bottom buck until closing
of the top buck. In this case, should the protection fitted around the top
buck (ref. 8) be accidently knocked, the press automatically raises
the top buck, which will stay blocked in the open position until
the re-set button (ref.5) is pushed to re-activate movement. The pressing operation is to be carried
out as follows : ·
The
garment to be pressed is positioned on the lower buck, steam is
isuued on the bottom buck by
means of the pedal (ref. 4) and vacuum is activated by means of
the pedal (ref. 3) ·
The
top buck is lowered by pressing the pedal (ref. 1). While steaming
the top buck will close at high pressure against the bottom buck.
·
After
re-activating steaming of the bottom buck by means of the button
(ref. 4), the top buck can be opened by means of the button (ref.
6). ·
To
complete the pressing operation, activate vacuum on bottom buck
by means of the pedal (ref. 3) and then remove the finished garment. 5.5 MACHINE
WITH 2 PUSH BUTTONS AND SAFETY GUARD
(Tav. 07 - fig. C) The machine is designed so that closing
of the top buck takes place by pressing the two push buttons (ref.
1 and 7)simultaneously and using both hands. Another safety feature is the application
of the safety guard on the top buck (ref. 8), which intervenes if
it is accidentally knocked. In this case, the press raises the
top buck which stays blocked until it is released by means of the
button (ref. 5). The pressing operation is to be carried
out as follows : ·
Closing
of top buck by means of the buttons (ref. 1
and 7). ·
Opening
of top buck by means of button
(ref. 6). ·
Steaming
on bottom buck by means of pedal (ref. 4). ·
Vacuum
on bottom buck by means of pedal (ref. 3).
5.6 MACHINE
SUPPLIED WITH TIMERS (Tav.01) On request, the machine can be equipped
with timers which establish the length of time required for the
principal work phases. In this case, act as follows: ·
Put
the switch (ref. 18) on
the automatic position. ·
Establish
working time required (15-20” per phase) on the timers : steaming time (ref. 16), vacuum time (ref. 15), pressing and closing time (ref.
17). ·
Once
the garment to be pressed has been positioned on the bottom buck,
the automatic cycle is started, by closing the top buck, either
by means of the two push buttons (tav. 07- fig. A - ref. 1 and 2)
or by means of the pedal (tav. 07- fig. B - ref. 1) or by means of the
two push buttons (tav. 07-
fig. C - ref. 1 and 7). ·
The
press automatically closed the top buck , steams on the lower buck
, provides vacuum and then re-opens the top buck. ·
The
pressing operation is concluded. 5.7
PRESS WITH POLISHED TOP BUCK On request and for special uses like
the pressing of garments in linen and cotton, it is possible to
supply the press with a polished top buck, only
steam heated. Naturally all the different options available
on the standard press stay the same. 5.8 ADJUSTMENTS
DURING USE ·
To
block the top buck and use only the bottom buck. as a steaming and
vacuum table, use the device (tav.
01- ref. 11). ·
To
vary the closing pressure of the bucks, use the knob (tav. 01- ref.
10), turning clockwise to increase pressure and anti-clockwise to
reduce it. 5.9 END
OF DAILY OPERATION At the end of the working day, remember
to do the following : ·
close
the water supply ·
shut
off the compressed air supply ·
disconnect
the machine by putting the switch on the “O” position.
